What does it cost to join VinConnect?
Not a thing — you simply sign up and begin receiving offers as each winery’s new vintages are released. You choose what to buy and when.
How do I sign up?
Simply click on Join VinConnect, type your email address and choose the mailing lists you want to be on.
Who are these wineries? How do I know if they are good?
VinConnect is incredibly selective about the wineries we work with, choosing only from among the best wineries in the most famous regions. All of our partner wineries are highly successful and broadly known in the U.S. market as a result of years of producing great wines that often garner critical acclaim and awards. These truly are the best of the best.

What if I need help deciding which lists to join or which wines to buy?
We realize that with so many high-quality wineries to choose from, selecting can be difficult. If you would like more personalized information or have questions, feel free to contact us at 415 857-5740 and we’ll be happy to speak with you directly to discuss your preferences and guide you to the wineries or offers we know you’ll love.
Will VinConnect sell or share my email address?
Absolutely not. We will never share, swap or sell your email address to any other entity. You will receive communications exclusively from the wineries you have signed up for, and the occasional message from VinConnect regarding new launches or other important information.
How do I join newly opened lists, or change the lists I am currently on?
To join newly opened lists or change the lists you are currently on, you must click on the Update My Preferences link in an email we have sent you. Our systems currently do not support the ability to update your profile on our website, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
How does it work?
The best summary description can be found at How it Works. Briefly, if you’ve ever been on the mailing list of a U.S. winery where you received periodic offers to purchase directly from them, this operates the same way.
Why is there no “store” with things I can purchase right now?
Each winery whose list you join will offer wines via email as they are being released in Europe, giving you a window of opportunity to purchase them before they are available in the U.S. Should you purchase, the wines will be delivered when they arrive in the U.S.
What can I buy and how often?
Wineries will make offers periodically on their own schedule — some once a year, some two or three times depending on a variety of factors. When you are offered wine, you generally have 10 to 14 days to respond with your interest.
How are the wines priced?
Wines are generally priced at “retail,” though often discounts on the wine or shipping may be offered by the winery as incentives.
How do I order?
To order, simply reply to a winery offer email you receive with the names and numbers of bottles you wish to purchase. If it is your first order, VinConnect will need to speak with you briefly via phone to configure your account with billing/shipping addresses and credit card information. Once that is accomplished all future orders will be totally automated.
Can I buy more than my “allocation”?
Members are generally limited to purchasing their maximum allocation, however in many cases you may “wish” for additional wine to be granted. If such wine is available at the close of the offer, most wineries will “grant” your wish for additional quantities and fulfill your entire order.
What happens if I don’t purchase my allocation?
In general you are under no obligation to purchase any wine you are offered. However, in certain cases where a list is closed to new members, a failure to purchase your allocation may result in losing your preferred status on a given list to enable other more enthusiastic members to have an opportunity to participate.
Shipping and Delivery:
Where can VinConnect legally ship? What happens if VinConnect can not ship directly to my state?
This is covered in great detail on our Shipping page. In sum, if we are not able to ship directly to you or a convenient state nearby, we will happily transfer your wine to one of several Napa consumer shipping services so that you may send it to yourself.
When will my order be delivered?
When your order will be delivered depends on the unique attributes of each individual offer. Generally wines are offered before they are available in the U.S., and they can take several weeks to arrive and be available for shipping. In other cases the wine may already be stateside and delivery can take place in as little as 2 weeks following the close of the offer. In every case we try to be as transparent as possible about expected shipping dates and provide our customers with updated information as we get it.
What about shipping during the hot summer months?
In order to ensure that your wines are protected from adverse weather conditions, long distance shipments are sent via UPS in temperature controlled trucks to local hubs and then delivered the next day to the designated address. Despite those precautions, if you would prefer that your wine not ship for whatever reason, simply notify us and we will be happy to hold it until such time as you wish to receive it.
Does VinConnect offer a money-back guarantee?
Your satisfaction with all aspects of the VinConnect experience is our highest priority. With that said, state laws prevents us from accepting returns or providing exchanges or refunds, except in the case of purchases made in error.
